In June 2009, I visited the open market in Quito, Ecuadors capital. There I saw children playing amongst filth while their parent/s sold vegetables, fruits. Little Maria passed time having only an empty fruit carton and piece of twisted paper as her toys!
In Quito's Market placed 2nd internationally in IQA 2010 competition. It has been featured in Quilt Scene magazine as well as Machine Quilting Unlimited.
